Cover Your Tracks

Warning: if you are worried about someone knowing you have visited this website we would recommend you read the below information, clear your browser history and then access our site using ‘Private Browsing’.

Staying Safe Online

It is vital that you take a few minutes to consider ways of keeping yourself safe online – we have put together the following for your guidance although it may not completely cover your tracks.

Quick Exit

Quick exit is a feature that allows you to navigate away from our website pages immediately should your privacy be interrupted by someone whilst you are visiting our website. On every page of our website you will notice the red QUICK EXIT button to the top of the page. Click this button and the page will immediately change to a commonly used shopping site. Please see sections below to clear your website history also as an additional safety measure.

Private Browsing / Incognito

“Incognito browsing,”  means that the pages you search won’t appear in your browser history or search history. The whole point of using incognito mode is that it leaves no trace of your browsing activity. To go incognito open up a Google Chrome browser. Hover over the right hand side of the top pane to find the’customise and control google chrome’ icon. Select this and choose from the menu ‘New incognito window’. A new window will appear to use.

Clearing your computer of website activity

Internet browsers in most cases  keep a record of all the web pages you visit, a ‘history’. To delete your browser history whilst using an internet browser hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and then press the H key. A list of sites visited or searched will appear and you may select individual sites you wish to no longer appear in your history. Select the items you wish to disguise and select delete.
